Jesus told us, His disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Mount Carmel Baptist Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, nation and spreads overseas to every nation. Ministry is an integral part of our Christian walk.  We have # different ministries at Mount Carmel.  We believe in the importance of service to Christ through our Diaconate, Christian Education, Music, Fellowship, Singles and Couple’s Ministry, Youth, Outreach, Missions Ministries, and many others.

Missions & Outreach Ministry

Mount Carmel Baptist Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s Kingdom around the world according to the Great Commission. We have an active Mission Outreach consisting of a Senior, Young Adult and Youth Department by supporting these missionaries with our financial support and with our prayers through the General Baptist State Convention. We support our Mission’s Department by assisting our missionaries in practical projects and evangelistic outreach. We encourage all of our members to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means, that they support foreign missions or live and minister in our own community.

 

Music & Praise Dance Ministry

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. These members are an important part of the ministry of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

 

Usher Ministry

The usher’s ministry at Mount Carmel Baptist Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of our children during services, helping visitors by answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women, whose ministry is integral to church life.

 

Virtual Technology & Information

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a responsibility to use these tools, whenever possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio format. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

 

Marriage Mentorship Program

Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Several couples at Mount Carmel Baptist Church serve as mentors. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Mount Carmel Baptist Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Every first Saturday, the church comes together for a special corporate time of prayer for the church, their families and each other. These Prayer Warriors use intercessory prayer and supplication for their pastor, church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Mount Carmel Baptist Church holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner, that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from games to age appropriate Bible lessons.

Youth Revival

Each spring, Mount Carmel Baptist Church hosts a joint youth revival with Morning Star First Baptist Church. The week-long event involves daily activities, games, a lot of preaching, great food, fellowship and praise and worship. The guest speaker and evangelist is selected and screened for this important ministry. They find that this youth revival is personally rewarding to both the youth and youth counselors, as they grow in their spiritual lives.
